Making Caramel Apples

So last night we decided to make caramel apples. Scoty's kids were here and we had a great time. We had to unwrap all the wrappers. I was getting tired of it but the kids thought it was so much fun. Ian my nephew who is 11 helped me chop nuts to put on the top of the apples. He loved my nut chopper. The kids then enjoyed them afterward. Happy Fall to everyone.

I am also posting a couple of pictures of Tyler holding my newest nephew Bronco. Tyler loved to hold him.

First Day of School!!!!

So the kids started school this week. I am all alone in the mornings. It is really strange. I finally have some time to myself. Tyler started 3rd grade at a new school. Not only a new school to us but a new school for the neighborhood. Since we moved Tyler was so exctied for school. He could hardly wait. He loves school and being around kids his age. The girls started Pre-K, they are gone in the mornings. They love their school. They also go to a brand new school that just opened up this year. The technology is incredible. Next year when they are all in school all day I am not sure what I am going to do with my self. I am thinking of going back to get my nursing degree. We will see how things go.

I am posting pictures of their first day of school. I am also posting some pictures of some fish that the kids caught with dad. We live right by a lake and Rusty likes to take them fishing at night. They have really grown to love it.

Griffin Family Reunion 2010

Rusty's family had a Griffin Family Reunion over the 24th of July in Lund Nevada. Lund is a very small farming town in Nevada. We thought we were going to be bored and have nothing to do. Well we ended up having the best time ever. My kids keep asking me when we are going to go back. We got to rider horses, shoot guns, be in a parade, had fun on the slip and slide and enjoyed the company of so many family members that we have never even met. Billy(rusty's dad) has a sister and two brothers. His sister and brother live in Lund, Billy lives in Tennesse and his brother lives in South Carolina. We have family come from Washinton state, Colorado, Utah, Tennesse and Soutn Carolina. We had so much fun hanging out with the family. It was nice to be able to put names with faces. I had never even met his uncle from South Carolina or his cousins that came. We were able to be in the parade and go to the rodeo and then ride on the fire truck to go watch fireworks. We had really long days. The kids did not get to bed before 10:30 most nights. We are hoping to do another family reunion in 5 years. Here are some pictures of the trip. Enjoy.

Trip to Utah!!!!!

The kids and I are in Utah visiting family. We are having a lot of fun. They have spent almost everyday with their cousins. We are also enjoying the snow shack that is right down the street. We get one almost everyday. They are so good, and for some reason Colorado does not have them. We have had so much fun but are leaving tomorrow to head back home. We still have a lot of unpacking to do. I will post pictures of our new house soon. I want the house all put together first. We hope all is well with everyone.

Happy 4th Birthday Mia and Madison

Mia and Madison turned 4 on May 26th. I can not believe they are already four. It seems just like yesterday that we had them. They have brought so much joy into our family.

Mia is very outgoing and likes to be loud. You know if she is in the room or not. She is very dramatic. She loves baby dolls and coloring. She is so much fun. She is a girly girl. She loves to have her hair and nails done. She is our pink girl. She loves everything pink. When they were babies, Mia always wore pink and Madison always wore purple and to this day they still wear the same colors. Don't try and put purple on Mia she will not be very happy. Mia was the bigger twin, she weighed 5lbs and 11 oz. Today she weighs 30lbs.

Madison is very quiet and shy. She is so quiet we have to ask her to speak up so we can hear her. She is very loving and likes to cuddle. She tells me a least 100 times a day that she loves me. It is really cute. She like babies and her whoobie. She takes it everywhere with her. She likes to put it on her head. It is really cute. Madison weighed 4lbs when she was born but lost weight in the nicu and went down to 3lbs 11oz. She was a really fussy baby, she had colic and cried all the time. She now weighs 30lbs.

They are two very cute girls and we love them.

We are also in the process of moving. We are moving 10 min south of us. So we have been really busy. I will post pictures of their party when we have it. They both got princess 3 wheelers for their birthday.

Kids Are So Darn Cute!!!!!!!!!!!

I love being a parent. Kids just brighten your day all the time. We were playing the Wii the other night and we taught Madison and Mia how to bowl. It was so funny. They really enjoyed it. That is all that they want to play now. Tyler became a cub scout and has really enjoyed it. He just loves to go to scouts and get dressed in his uniform. He wanted me to post a new picture of him. He finally received all the things to complete it. Thanks Grandma Hansen. The last picture is of Mia, if any of you know her she is very loud and makes her presence known. The other night after dinner I was trying to find her to come finish her dinner. She is our challenge when it comes to eating, she just does not like much food. Anyway we could not find her anywhere. Madison finally found her under the kitchen table asleep. She was so cute and being so quiet such a change for her. I grabbed my camera before she was woken up. The girls do not like to be apart. If one is sick and can't go to school the other one does not want to go. I hope this does not last long. They are the best of friends and I love it. They brighten my day. I am glad that I can be home with them and get to see all their new phases in life.
