Family Update
Hello all!!!
It has been awhile since I wrote last. It has been a busy month. We went out to Memphis Tennesse to see Rusty's parents for Tyler's spring break. We had a good time. Rusty got to spend some quality time with his dad and the kids got to see grandma and grandpa and even great grandma. We went to the zoo and to a pizza palace place. It was great fun. Rusty and I went to Graceland one day and that was really neat. It was cool to see all of Elvis's stuff and gravesite. Rusty got to go to the shooting range with his dad and shoot some guns. They had a great time.
The week we got back I had surgery on my tonsils and my septum. It was a very hard time for me. Rusty's mom and grandma came out to take care of the kids. It was a great help. I had the surgery on Thurs April 3rd and by Saturday I was miserable. I could not eat or swallow and was having a hard time breathing. So I went to the ER and come to find out I was severly dehydrated and my throat was swelling up and it was causing me not to breath. My oxygen level was down in the 40's and it should be in the upper 90's so I was on oxygen and they admitted me right away. I spent the next two and half days in the hospital. It was really nice because I could rest and try to get better. But I really missed the kids and my own bed. I am doing better now but I still can't eat very well and have a hard time swallowing. I hope to be better by the end of the week.
Tyler started soccer and loves it. Good old dad is coaching him. He is a great player and loves to be outside. He only has about a month left till he is done with school and with kindergarten. He is growing up so fast. He loves school and likes to play with friends.
Mia and Madison have found a new passion in life. OUTSIDE!!! They love to be out side playing. They love the park and all the fun stuff there. They go to to door and say out all day long. We are thinking of getting them a playhouse to play in. They are all over the place and talk like crazy. They are both starting to get hair and it is fun to do.
So that is a quick family update. I will try and get some pictures posted soon.
Love to all our family and friends.
Thanks to all those who have called me and checked up on me, it was really hard to be in the hospital and not have family around. The flowers were great and brightened my day.

Hello family and friends

It has been awhile since I did a post so I guess I should update you on the happenings of the Griffin's.
Rusty started a new job as Branch Manager for AFC Worldwide Express. He has enjoyed it. He is starting the new office here in Denver with one other person. It has been a change for us, usually Rusty has been working late and we never saw him. We see him a lot more now and the kids and I love it. He took a week off in between his jobs and painted our house. It is not quite done yet. When it is finished I will post some pictures.
I have also been really busy. I started a new job at Stapleton Pediatrics two weeks ago and love it. I do the billing and help with the front desk. I have enjoyed the adult interaction and it gets me out of the house. I have a really good friend from our ward who watches them, they love her to death and that makes me happy to know that they are well taken cared of and loved. I also found out that I have to have my tonsils taken out on April the 3rd. OUCH!!!! I am also having some surgery done on my nose for a deviated septum and the same time, double the fun. Rusty's mom Brenda is going to come out and help take care of the family while I am recovering. We really appreciate her help.

Tyler is doing well in school. He loves kindergarten and is learning alot. He can even read a little. I can't believe how big he is. He is a great big brother to the girls and loves them to pieces. Some times tooo much. He is also a big help to me. Rusty had to go for a week to dallas for some training and he told Ty that he was going to be the man of the house while he was gone, Tyler took that serious. On garbage day he told me not to bring the can around to the side of the house that it was his job because he was the man of the house. So first thing when he got home from the bus he took the can around to the side of the house. What a big man he is. We love him.

Mia and Madison what can I say then Double Trouble. They are all over the place and like to get in trouble. Madison is our dare devil and is not afraid of anything and Mia is our drama queen. We just put them in their toddler beds and they thought is was great, they have freedom. Well it is a lot harder to get them to bed. They also think it is fun to empty the dresser. Not so much fun for me. They have also taken off the wallpaper, they must not have liked it. They keep us on our toes that is for sure. We love them and love to watch them grow. Mia is the talker and Madison is just quiet and doesn't talk much.
So that is the update for now.

Happy Birthday Tyler 6 Years
This last weekend was Tyler's 6th birthday. He had a great day. I went to school with him to be the helper that day. It also happened to be the day that president Bush came to town and we live right by Buckley Airforce Base so all the roads were closed and they were holding all the kids at school till 4:15 but since I was there I was able to take Tyler home. We went to the watch out point where you can watch planes land on the base and were able to get to see airforce one land. It was pretty cool. I forgot my camera so I was pretty sad.
Tyler had his party at Skate City which is a rollerskating place. He invited a lot of friends and he had a really good time. He got all kinds of presents. He is glad to be 6. He thinks he is really old. It only makes me feel old. I am going to try and post some pictures. I hope it will work.

What a Week!!!!!!!!!!!!
This has been a very busy week for us. On Wednesday night Rusty and I went to the Brad Paisley concert with some friends. It was so much fun. He does a great concert. We were out really late but had a lot of fun. Then on Thursday night we went to see the Nuggets vs the Jazz. It was a good game but the Jazz lost. I felt out of place cheering for the opposite team. I also saw Hot Rod Hundley there doing the announcing for the radio. He was sitting right by us. So I went up to him to say hi and asked if he would sign my hat. So he did. I felt special. After the game we got to meet one of the nuggets players. It was cool I didn't really know who he was but he was very tall. We also go to see Iverson the big player for the nuggets come out of the press room and were just a few feet from him. That was pretty cool.
So that was our exciting week so far. I will try and put some pictures up soon. We hope all is well.

Welcome 2008!!!!!
Well I can't believe that 2008 is already here. Crazy. We started off the new year by getting snowed in at Frisco, Co. We were traveling home on Dec 30th from Utah and was driving on I-70 to get home. We were at Frisco which is 67 miles away from denver when they shut the interstate down due to weather. There was no hotels that had vacancy and we didn't know what to do. So both Rusty's parents and my parents told us to contact the local bishop with all their help we were able to get a hold of him and they opened up the church to 20 families that were stuck with no were to stay. Although is was tough to sleep on the floor of the church we were so blessed to have somewhere warm to stay. The local members brought blankets and pillows and when we woke up somone had brought milk and cereal and some breakfast bars. We were truly blest. We made some new friends. We thought we were going to have to spend another night but on New Years's Eve they opened the road at about five o'clock. So we decided to try and get home. It took two hours to get home but we were sure glad to be home. Needless to say we all went to bed early. We were all very tired.
The new year has been very busy for us. Tyler started back at school and I stay home busy with two toddlers who run around and make messes. Rusty is busy at work due to an employee quiting. Hopefully they can hire someone soon and he can be home and see the kids more. We all hope to have a good year. We are just blessed to have friends and family and the church in our lives.

I will try to post some christmas pictures soon.
